Torre Guaceto paradiso per tartarughe

The oasis of Torre Guaceto Marine Reserve is state encompassing 600 acres of sea perspiciente the coast. This means that it is strictly prohibited any form of fishing and so off they can go undisturbed dolphins and the occasional whale. But mostly loggerhead turtles and some lute, have in the waters of the oasis and beaches safe places for resting and nesting. The oasis has much to an environmental point of view to be declared in the Convention Ramstar Wetland of International Importance. Throughout the complex, including the five islands in the water in front of Tower Guaceto, are the remains of prehistoric presences and the late Middle Ages.
The Tower overlooking the oasis was used since 1547 (and subsequent years for sightings of enemy ships) for the dunes, some of these, the highest, are fossils of a million years.
The Mediterranean vegetation rich in myrtle, acacia saligna which is a mimosa sea, brooms, oaks and many grasses that could have been far more dense if some fire (arson) had not decimated in recent years that many specimens of flora. In the fauna are badgers, weasels, foxes, rodents, water snakes, lizards, lizards. The oasis is a paradise for sea-watchings: enough fins, mask and snorkel to admire the wonders of a seaside oasis. The oasis is situated along the SS 379 Bari-Brindisi at Km 35 Serranova exit and follow the signs to Punta Penna Grossa.
