Madonna of bread and Festival of bread - Novoli (Lecce)

Many miracles are attributed to Our Lady of the Bread that is celebrated these days in the town of North Salento.

It starts Friday 19, with wine tastings and the first night of the festival "For the love of Mary."

Saturday 20 civil rites are pitted all day, while after sunset Piazza Regina Margherita vibrates with the concerts.

Sunday 21, the day begins with the joyful sound of bells that announce the move of the statue in the mother church of St. Andrew the Apostle and, at around 21, the stage in Piazza Regina Margherita waits to turn on the microphones for live music.

Monday 22 the statue returns to its sanctuary and, late in the evening, the square is filled for the last concert.

FEAST OF BREAD

Fragrant, soft and fragrant, the bread is the king of the four evenings dedicated to the simple flavors of the festival which is held in Novoli during the celebrations of Our Lady of the bread.

On crispy slices of bread recline peppers and ricotta for eaters "bold". Also coming from the embers bruschetta, roasts of all kinds to be accompanied by sips of wine for seven local wineries.

Among the luminaries of the festival also runs quality music with "For the love of Mary", a series that begins Friday 19 with Marco Bardoscia and Raffaele Casarano, to continue until Monday, with several music groups and Salento.
