Il Promontorio del Gargano sporge a formare sull'Adriatico lo sperone d'Italia. La costa alterna scogliere, spiagge e calette

Ithe Gargano promontory is the Apulian Adriatic Sea. And 'one of the richest areas of Apulia of different habitats and biodiversity. The green heart is known as Foresta Umbra, an expanse of beech and pine trees that are very lush and grow organic almond, orange and olive trees. Surrounded by vegetation they fit the countries of Peschici, Mattinata, San Menaio Vieste and who have retained their original structure, with winding streets and whitewashed houses. To the north the area typical of coastal lakes: the salty Lesina and Varano Lake. Most of the mountainous area is a national park: the Gargano National Park.

Coming down from the North to the South meet the long beaches of San Menaio and the romantic town of Rhodes Town, surrounded by the color of its citrus groves. Lido del Sole is the beach in Rhodes Town, very busy with fine golden sand overlooked by pine and eucalyptus.

Then switch to Peschici, country white overlooking the sea. Rises its imposing cliff karst and possesses a remarkable marina. The beauty of its waters makes it very popular. Continuing the visit of Gargano, the coast becomes jagged to Vieste where, in front of the white sand beach, stand the stacks symbol of the area. The stretch of sea that goes from the town of Vieste morning is known for its cliffs, its gorges, caves even unexplored.

Finally Manfredonia, rich in history and places of interest, its port provides links to various locations in the Gargano coast and the islands. In particular, it is worth visiting the Lido of Siponto very beginning of the Gargano promontory: miles of golden sand, that are reflected in an emerald sea.
