To be sure, for many the holidays are started only now. Whether for personal choice, for convenience or simply to work are many Italians who have carved the holidays in the second half of August. Forced to see friends relax, thanks to photos posted on social networks, now it is time to "take revenge" and enjoy, deservedly, the sea and the sun with the complicity of the beautiful weather of recent days.

Equally certain, though, is that a big chunk of tourists preferred the "classical" week of August holiday to have fun. Whether for the events that have colored the evenings inland, to the beaches increasingly cool, for the nights spent at the disco to dance until dawn ... the fact is that these days sleep seemed a luxury reserved for the few. At any hour of the day the streets were teeming with people looking for some new experience to try, some place to visit not to lose anything of this land that has so much to offer. Castro, Gallipoli, Otranto, Lecce had nothing to envy in terms of attendance, the most famous places. A record hard-won, who now have to maintain. But that's another story.
