Gravina in Puglia

Gravina in Puglia houses the headquarters of the National Park of Alta Murgia. The name "Gravina" refers to the ravines (cracks in the earth's crust-like canyon).

Its territory has been inhabited since the Palaeolithic. He was first influenced by the Greeks and then occupied by Rome. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire was incorporated into the domain of the invading Lombards. Events and festivals: the Fair of San Giorgio, which is repeated every April since 1294. It is one of the oldest fairs in Italy and worldwide.
