THE ACCOMODATION
The farmhouse on the coast of Valle D'Itria, the land of trulli, in Puglia in the district of Monopoli, is a late 19th-century building, once used as an oil mill, immersed in the wonderful setting typical of the Apulian countryside among vegetable gardens, olive trees and dry stone walls. A typical example of traditional Apulian architecture, it is located a short distance from the most beautiful stretch of coastline in the province of Bari, characterised by long sandy beaches and stunning bays.

It was not easy, after numerous and demanding restoration interventions, to conserve the original structure of the building and preserve the austere identity of the place, its fascinating and simple architectural lines and restore beauty to the star vaults that ennoble and embellish the ceilings, to the "tuff" walls, "chianche" floors and the suggestive "dry stone walls" that enclose the entire structure.
To-decor An upcycling approach was adopted, focusing on the recovery of materials and objects already present in the structure, such as windows, iron rods, boards, doors and gates, or purchased at flea markets, giving them a new and decorative use through the combination of simple DIY objects with tools from rural life, contemporary pieces in industrial and shabby chic styles, and vintage furnishings.

The spacious rooms, furnished with an upcycling approach in a sober and refined Mediterranean design, feature star vaults and floors in fine local stone.
