La consuetudine dell’Epifania è molto sentita in Puglia, l’ultima festa del periodo natalizio è ritenuta una delle più importanti. Solo qui le calze della befana si riempiono ancora di delizie locali: agrumi di stagione, frutta secca, fichi secchi con le mandorle, arance, caramelle per finire al carbone dolce o vero a discrezione. La tradizione è ancora oggi molto sentita quindi non sarà difficile vedere calze appese in casa e alle finestre.

Il presepe artistico palcoscenico di Salice Salentino. A Salice Salentino, in provincia di Lecce, ogni anno si rappresenta il presepe artistico palcoscenico nel quale si inscena tutta la vita di Cristo, dall'infanzia alla morte. Le statuine vengono realizzate appositamente per l'evento e le casette vengono costruite con la carta pesta ambientale. L'ingresso è gratuito per tutti.

La calata dei re Magi a Lizzano: a Lizzano, in provincia di Taranto, in occasione dell'Epifania si inscena la calata dei re Magi, una tradizionale manifestazione lizzanese.  Gli abitanti del paese sono grati alle organizzazioni che si impegnano per mantenere vive queste tradizioni.

A Orsara di Puglia, in occasione dell'Epifania, si apre ogni anno la casa della Befana: questa splendida casetta oltre ad essere allestita nei minimi particolari per accogliere dai più piccoli ai più grandi è contornata dalla piazza dei dolci e dalla Befana ice park, una pista di pattinaggio dove tutti possono trascorrere il loro tempo. Questa festa è particolare perché la Befana arriva dall'alto per farsi ammirare da tutti.

A Massafra, anche quest'anno si rinnoverà la tradizione della Befana acrobatica, con l'ausilio del nucleo Speleo Alpino Fluviale del Comando provinciale dei Vigili del Fuoco di Taranto, la befana si calerà dalla Torre dell'Orologio.

A Taranto troviamo l’appuntamento tradizionale del mercato della Befana: 120 bancarelle, sistemate lungo Corso Italia, tra via Polesine e viale Magna Grecia. Due giorni in totale relax: si parte il 4 Gennaio alle ore 16 fino alla mezzanotte e il 5 gennaio si ripete.

A Otranto nei vicoli del centro si possono notare tantissime Befane a passeggio con un sacco pieno di regali. Ogni anno si rinnova l’evento dal sapore mistico e magico anche perchè il centro storico di Otranto è sempre bello ed ancora di più lo è in una occasione come questa.

The artistic crib stage of Salice Salentino: In Salice Salentino, in the province of Lecce, every year is represented the artistic crib stage in which the whole life of Christ is staged, from childhood to death. The figurines are made specifically for the event and the houses are built with environmental paper pesto. Admission is free for everyone.

The descent of the Magi in Lizzano: in Lizzano, in the province of Taranto, on the occasion of the Epiphany is staged the descent of the Magi, a traditional event Lizzano.  The inhabitants of the country are grateful to the organizations that are committed to keep these traditions alive.

In Orsara di Puglia, on the occasion of the Epiphany, the house of the Epiphany opens every year: this beautiful house as well as being set up in detail to accommodate from the smallest to the largest is surrounded by the square of sweets and the Befana ice park, a skating rink where everyone can spend their time. This festival is special because the Epiphany comes from above to be admired by everyone.

In Massafra, this year the tradition of the acrobatic Epiphany is renewed, with the help of the Speleo Alpino Fluvial core of the Provincial Fire Brigade Command of Taranto, the Epiphany will descend from the Clock Tower.

In Taranto we find the traditional appointment of the Befana market: 120 stalls, arranged along Corso Italia, between Via Polesine and Viale Magna Grecia. Two days in total relaxation: it starts on January 4th at 4pm until midnight and on January 5th it repeats.
