Alberobello
Alberobello, the city of the trulli, occupies a land subjected to highly erosive rainwater, stratified limestone rocks that form, thus offer the building material that characterizes the trulli, the town and the Valle d'Itria.
The image of the trulli (from the greek Trullos, "dome"), timeless rural construction, has always been associated with Puglia as one of the most typical expression of his soul peasant. Testify, by their presence, a story as fascinating as mysterious, between history and legend.

How does a TRULLO ....

Going to Alberobello certainly can not miss a visit to the Minor Basilica of Saints Cosma and Damiano, patrons of the city, celebrated each year September 27 in the town recalling thousands of faithful and tourists to watch the processions, the fires and to taste the typical products the place as grilled meats, cold cuts, cheeses accompanied by a good local wine.
